The Pencil tool

- [Instructor] If you want to draw freehand in Illustrator, you can. There are two tools that you can use to draw freehand. The Pencil tool and the Brush tool. However, the Brush tool works the same way, pretty much, as the Pencil tool, but it just applies a brush stroke to it. And to be honest, you could do exactly the same thing with the Pencil tool most of the time and then apply a brush stroke, afterwards. So it's up to you how you work. It's not a paintbrush in the same way that it is in Photoshop, for example. So let's have a look at the Pencil tool, here. If you tap N on your keyboard, that's N for November, you will get the Pencil tool. And we're going to go over to the toolbox and double-click on it to access it's options.
