to work with raster content like scanned or photographic images and placing those images into Illustrator In our file we have little ad for a flower shop's Valentine's Day discount We definitely don't want the photo coming into the bottom part of the ad, covering up the text. Let's use this frame at the top as a clipping mask. it with the Selection tool that we can place the photo into. Then, to bring the photo into Illustrator I'll choose File, to Red_Rose.psd. to Link or not. to the Photoshop file which means You have the flexibility to choose the option as we'll see in a minute. For now I'm going to click Link and the image is placed and it's clipped by the frame thanks to the Draw Inside mode.
