Placing images

- [Instructor] There are three ways that we can get images into Illustrator. We can paste them in from different sources, we can also drag them in from our operating system, but while they are times when you might want to do that, placing is the best option. So, I'm going to go to my layers panel here, because I've got a layer here that I'm going to place an image onto, and I can either use the shortcut shift + command + P. That's shift + control + P on Windows or go to the file menu and choose place. Now I've got an image here, this masthead image which I'm going to bring in from my exercise files. I don't need to worry about this color profile warning at the moment for this demonstration, but if you are getting that, it is something worth investigating just to make sure that the colors are going to reproduce properly. So, there's my logo just there as a placed asset and you can see in a few different places things…
