- [Narrator] Now when you're done creating your icons, I do recommend that you try out a few different things here. First of all, if you've applied certain things, like live effects. Like I have here with the scribble effect. It doesn't really hurt to have a duplicate of your icon. Which has the effect outlined instead of having it live. Remember that there's a potential issue here, when I were to scale this up and down without actually setting the fact that I would like to scale my strokes and effects. So if you don't really trust yourself on this in the future, or you might forget that there's a live effect being applied here, nothing is stopping you from just taking this entire selection here, then going up to object and then choosing expand appearance. So this is going to expand the appearance to an actual stroke. Now as you can see from the view menu, if you choose outline, it is now a regular stroke. As if you…
