- [Host] To be sure that our logo is used the way that we intend it to be used, we need to create logo usage guidelines. If you type this into a web browser, you'll come up with some interesting examples of usage guidelines manuals from some quite high profile companies. It makes for some interesting reading. But, essentially our guidelines should contain the following information. The minimum size of the logo, its color breakdown, C-M-Y-K values, R-G-B values, spot colors, explicit examples of incorrect usage, think of what might go wrong and show an example, and you should provide a list of all the files that you are supplying your client with. Part of the logo's design is the clear space around the logo, so that, when placed, it doesn't bump up against other elements. Here's how I'm going to design the clear space for this logo.
