- [Instructor] With every auto-tracing functionality on mobile phones or just in Illustrator itself, you always have to keep track of the total amount of points that are being created. Now, if I select the original artwork that just came out of Adobe Capture, and if I switch to the direct selection tool, you'll see that I have a lot of points here where I probably shouldn't have as many, especially here in the eyes, which are just very, very basic shapes. Now, what you can do is you can always come in and you can clean up these original paths just a little bit here. Now, in order to do this, go up to the Object menu with your current selection, choose Path, and then choose Simplify. Now, I personally do enjoy clicking the ellipsis here to get more options, and I also tend to click the Show Original Path option, which is going to show you a red overline of what the artwork looked like originally, and this is because…
