Rivet and eyelet
- [Instructor] Now that you know how useful symbols are let's start making a couple. In this movie we are going to start with an eyelet symbol and a rivet symbol, you can find the symbols tabbed in with the brushes or if they are not open go up to window, scroll down to symbols and that will open up the symbols panel. Now there are some symbols that come with Illustrator, again they are not very useful for fashion so we are going to select them and we are going to toss them in the trash and make some of our own. The first symbol we are going to make is a rivet. We will draw an ellipse that is three points by three points and click okay, I want to make sure that the stroke weight is point two five and we are going to fill this with a gradient. So we'll click on fill, we ar going to select gradient and then click on gradient options. You want to make sure that you have the fill active and not the stroke otherwise you'll be putting a gradient on the stroke which I have done many times…
