Rotating and scaling area text
- [Instructor] We now need to bring our type more into the position that it will actually occupy in the layout, and to do that, first of all, we're going to turn on the visibility here for the divider. (laughs) And the first thing I've noticed, actually, is that the type is a bit too large. Now, let me show you something here very quickly. This isn't something you need to do, but I'm just going to use a shape here and switch to my Selection Tool. As you may have noticed when you go over the corners of any shape, you can click and drag to change its size. If you hover just outside of the corners, you can actually rotate an object around. That saves you in most cases from using the Rotate Tool and the Scale Tool. However, with area type, that's a slightly different thing because if I rotate the text around or at least the text block, you can see that what it does is just rotate the text area. I'll undo that.
