Save a file before starting
- [Instructor] Before moving further with the design, let's make sure your toolbar displays all the advanced tools, like mine. To do so, click on the three dots located at the very bottom of the toolbar and then head to the top fly out menu and click once. Then, select Advanced. You will be able to switch back to Basic at any time. Now, let's save your document. Choose the File menu, then select Save, or press Control + S on Windows, Command + S on the Mac, to bring up the Save window. Then, select your destination folder. In this case, I'm going to select my desktop, then I'll click on Save. The Illustrator options window will then come up. You don't need to do much here, but in certain cases you might be asked to save the file in an earlier version of Adobe Illustrator. That's the perfect place to do so.
