- [Instructor] Let's take a quick look at the options you'll encounter when you save a document in Illustrator's native file format. In our file here, we have two versions of a seed label on separate art boards, and let's say we were asked to save a copy of this file and I'll call it Label Copy. I'll click save, and at the top of this dialog box, I can choose a version with an older version of Illustrator. will change depending on which version I choose at the top. And I'll also see a warning at the bottom of the dialog box to make the file compatible with the version I'm saving for. and any hidden appearance attributes will be discarded. And only fonts with the appropriate permissions can be embedded. Also, notice I can save each art board to a separate file or older versions which don't support multiple art boards in one file.
