- [Narrator] All right, now I'm going to show you how to select objects using the black and white arrow tools, and I'll also introduce you to a thing called the Isolation Mode. And so, notice up here at the top of the toolbox we have a black selection tool, along with a white direct selection tool. The black selection tool selects whole objects, whereas the white selection tool selects things like anchor points and segments. Now, it's worth noting that both of these tools have keyboard shortcuts. So, for the direct selection tool, you have a shortcut of A. And that's just the A key by itself, by the way. Not Control A or Command A, you just tap the A key. For the black selection tool, you press the V key. And so you may wonder where those shortcuts come from.
