Setting grid preferences

- [Narrator] Using a custom grid system will allow you to easily align objects to one another while you're drawing them and this will also help you to properly size and shape existing icons. For example, remember that a set of web icons all have the same approximate size. Well, custom grids will help you achieve this result. Let me show you how. I'm here inside of Adobe Illustrator, where I have the selection tool active. Now it's important that I have the selection tool active because if I click on any other tool, this will affect the properties panel. And I have some options here, while I'm using the selection tool that I need to access right now. So here on the right hand side, I have the rulers and grids option, the guides option and the snap options.
