Setting metrics with guides
- If you want to set yourself up for success, here are my guidelines, no pun intended for doing that. First of all, get yourself a guide. Before you do anything else, add a guide to your document, which will form your baseline and name it baseline like so. You can then go on and create your lowercase X character. These are from an earlier version of the data 20 lowercase by the way, that weren't used. Though I tried to be super geometric and a bit punch card, but didn't work terribly well. And once you've got that character leaving that behind very quickly, drag in another guide, okay, and name that one X height. So if I just do this like so. If I just do X and I'm going to do an upper case H like so just to make it all nice and efficient and I'll bring that down towards the back as well. Once you've gone and done that, what you could do is you could introduce an upper case character. Okay, so design an upper case…
