Spacing and kerning

- Now, I'm just going to click on the Illustrator icon at the top left from the welcome screen here, and then open up the Fontself extension. I'm going to open a font. I've got this Typetonic Stained from the common folder of the exercise files. If I open that up, then here we are. And we used this, in fact, in the last movie, if you're watching sequentially. Now if you're knowledgeable and deep in the weeds about things like kerning and spacing, then there is a control set for you. Last time we looked at scaling, glyph scaling here, and line and letter spacing. If you tap on advanced, however, then you get into the full deep in the weeds stuff. So you can go ahead and you can change the spacing for characters, you can also do it dynamically, so you can see that you can click here and change the side bearings. That's the space on the left and right of characters, so you can change those to alter the spacing. It's a…
