Swap color channels
- [Instructor] Astute Graphics InkQuest gives you the ability to swap channels in artwork to control print output or to create special effects. It also gives you extra controls for viewing separations and overprinting. And in this movie, we'll start our look at InkQuest by using the swap channels feature. Here in my file I have a couple of graphics that were created for print using spot colors and with InkQuest, I can swap channels in this artwork to quickly create different looking output. With the selection tool, I'll click on the group on my first artboard and choose effect, InkQuest, swap channels. Note that you can also apply swap channels as a filter from the object menu but that way makes permanent changes in your file. This way is non-destructive since you can change the effect or turn it off at anytime. Here in the dialogue box, I'll make sure that preview is turned on and I'll use the controls to map or swap…
