Transforming patterns
- [Instructor] What I'm going to do here is just select the rectangle that contains my pattern and I'm going to make it smaller. Okay, so I'm going to hold down the Option key so I can transform this from the center. And now you have a view of the pattern through this rectangle. If I move the rectangle around, you can see that the pattern, if I nudge it with my arrow keys, the pattern does not move with it. That's because I have to enable that because it's not what most people want is the pattern to move along with it. So to do that, if I double-click on the selection tool to get to the move options here, I can choose to transform patterns at the same time. So now if I move this around, you should see that the pattern moves with it. More commonly, what you want to do is actually use a dialogue to do that so you can turn it off afterwards.
