Trim View and Presentation Mode

- [Narrator] In this movie, we'll take a look at two more commands that are available to us under the view menu here inside the most recent version of Adobe illustrator. And those are trim view and presentation mode. And so, as you may recall, the black boundary around the active art board, as well as the gray boundaries around the inactive art boards represent the trim size. That is the area of the image that's actually going to print. When you go to commercially reproduce a document. The areas inside the red boundaries are the bleeds and this is the area that's going to get trimmed away. So that we end up with borderless printing. That is to say we won't have any white margins around the artwork. Now, much of the time you want to be able to see the contents of your bleed which is this tiny, thin area right here. Other times you don't, if you want to hide the bleed then you go up to the view menu and choose trim view…
