Understanding Symbol Stipple settings

- [Instructor] In a previous movie, we created a symbol stipple effect by saving an object as a symbol and applying it with the symbol stipple dialog box. Now let's take it a step further and tweak some of the settings in the dialog box, to adjust the symbol stipple effect. So here's our star stipple effect. And we can edit it by selecting it, going to the appearance panel, and clicking on symbol stipple. Note that we previously adjusted the overall size of the symbol to 25% of its original size, right here, with overall scale. But we can also vary the size of the stippling objects by clicking vary scale and entering an amount. The default is two. Let's click preview and see what we get. And sure enough, we get large stars, tiny stars, and medium-sized ones. We can also vary the angle of the stars.
