- (Instructor) If you've ever had to deal with the job of cleaning up artwork that's cluttered with too many anchor points, then you'll appreciate the smart remove brush tool in Astute Graphics vector scrub. With it, you can easily remove unnecessary points from your artwork with as much precision as you need, and you can preserve specific points or target them for removal. So let's take a look at how it works. One way to create artwork with a lot of redundant anchor points is to use illustrators Image Trace feature. Another way is to simply expand the appearance of certain objects. For example, here in my document, I have a simple eye shape with a variable with stroke anolyte fill. Now this is a nice start, but at some point, I might want to expand the appearance of this object. So the eyelids are real shapes, not just strokes. So I can choose object, Expand Appearance.
