Use the Width Gradient tool

- [Instructor] The Width Gradient tool allows you to control stroke widths in your artwork by defining, applying and adjusting linear and radial gradients. Let's take a look at this amazingly powerful and flexible tool. Here on my first artboard, I have a few objects and they all have uniform one point stroke widths. I'll open the Width Gradient panel by choosing Window, WidthScribe, Width Gradient Panel. And I can click in the panel to select the Width Gradient tool, or I could choose it from the toolbar here. To show all the controls in the panel, I'll go to the panel menu and choose Expand Panel. And at the top of the panel, I have controls for applying stroke widths in linear or radial gradients. And I can make the change in stroke widths absolute or relative. I have a slider that I can use to control the number of width markers. Fewer markers will make for a less complex file. More markers will give me more control…
