Using the Anchor Point tool

- [Instructor] While the white arrow tool allows you to modify the curvature of a curving segment, it does not let you curve a straight segment. To pull that off, you have to use a different tool known as the anchor point tool. So here we are, looking at a design that exclusively comprises straight segments. But let's say that I want to take the front edge of this chair and bend it upward. Well, I still have my white arrow tool selected up here near the top of the toolbox, and so I'll just go ahead and click on that straight segment in order to select it independently of the anchor points. We're not seeing any control handles because we don't have any curvature. And so notice if I just go ahead and drag that segment, I am going to move the entire segment as you can see here. That's not what I want to do, so I'll press control Z or command Z on the Mac to undo that change and then, I'll click and hold on the pen tool…
