Using the Blend tool

- [Instructor] All right, now we're going to create these crisscross lines that make up the gaps between the keys and our keyboard using what's known as the blend tool. And so notice that my white arrow tool, or if you prefer direct selection tool, is still active. At which point I want to select just this edge of this inset path outline. And you can do that by just clicking on that segment with the white arrow tool. Now notice that none of the anchor points are selected because after all they're all hollow and that tells you that all you've selected is the segment all by itself. Now, how do you know which segment? You just have to keep track in your head. And that's because Illustrator doesn't do anything special to indicate a selected segment.
