Using the Color Guide panel

- [Instructor] Let's go over what you should know about the Color Guide features for the Illustrator ACA exam. First, let's open the Color Guide panel, and if you're using the Essentials Classic workspace, it's the second one right here. Or you can open it from the Window menu. The purpose of this panel is to give you good options when you need to change the colors of some objects in your artwork. It provides you with variations of a base color, including shades and tints, warm and cool colors, and vivid and muted colors, along with lots of complementary colors. So let me show you what I mean. In our exercise file here, let's say that our friendly fish here was just too purple-y. We need to add some variation. One place we could do that is in the eyes. So I'll take the direct selection tool and click on one of the irises. And then hold down the shift key and click on the other one. So now I have them both selected.
