- [Instructor] Astute Graphics DirectPrefs makes it easy to create and move objects at custom angles and distances. Let's see how it works. Here in my file, I have some vector people on a seesaw, and you can see that they're at an angle, and I'd like to move them to the ends of the seesaw and add some text in the middle. If I was just using Illustrator alone, there would be no easy way to constrain the people as I move them, so they stay exactly on top of the seesaw, but DirectPrefs can help me out. I'll open it from the Window menu. The main part of the panel has controls for setting custom constraint angles, and keyboard increments. And at the bottom, there are buttons for showing and hiding guides and grids, for locking guides and for turning snapping on and off.
