Using the Ellipse tool

- [Instructor] All right, I'll show show you how to work with the ellipse tool. And we're going to use that tool to draw a couple of circles. This gold circle in the center and this red pie shape in the background. All right, so I'm going to switch over to the document in progress and I'm going to rename this drawing layer stripes because that's what it is. And then I'm going to create a new layer for the circles by dropping down to the little plus sign at the bottom of the layers panel and Alt or Option clicking on it to force the display of the Layer Options dialog box. And I'll go ahead and call this layer big C, and then I'll change the color to violet just to make it stand out. And then I'll click OK. All right, now you want to click and hold on a rectangle tool to bring up the shape tool flyout menu and select the ellipse tool or if you've got your little shapes tool panel, you can click on this third icon in.
