Using the Free Transform tool
- [Instructor] Let's take a look at the free transform tool in Illustrator. To use it, I'll have to have something selected, then I'm going to just tap E to get to it. That's it shortcut just there. And it also launches with this HUD just here. Now, by default, it's set to free transform. So basically you can go ahead and just pull things around, like so. I'll just undo that. But you've got this lock icon as well, which means you don't have to hold down the shift key. You can just go ahead and scale that to your heart's content with just one hand, which is awesome. I'm just going to undo that and go back to the way it was in the start. We've also got perspective version here as well, o perspective distort. Now, if I grabbed the bottoms here of this and pull outwards, you can see it's looking very Dutch barn just now. So of course if I went to the sides, then that would be slightly different as well.
