- [Instructor] Of course, if you've drawn your font on paper and scanned it in, or even if you just created it on a background or a single layer, you need to separate it out so that the individual characters occupy their own layer. And as you can imagine that would probably take some time if you're going ahead and cutting something from another layer, and then dropping it on to a new layer, and so on, and so on, and so on. Well fortunately, there is a way that this can be done with guides and a script that the lovely people at Fontself gave to me, and you, by extension, have access to it in the exercise files for this course. Now, I've got one final guide to add over on the side here to the right of this zero, and I'm going to do that now, and the reason I've held off from doing it, is I want to share with you a quick tip.
