Using the Lock/UnLock tool

- [Instructor] In this movie we'll look at the lock/unlock tool in Astute Graphics SubScribe. This tool is extremely simple to use, and that's actually the whole point of it. It makes locking and unlocking objects much faster and easier than in Illustrator alone. One of the problems with Illustrator's native locking feature is that there's no quick way to unlock a specific object. You can lock something easily by selecting it and choosing Object, Lock Selection, or you can use the keyboard shortcut, but once something is locked, you can't select it on the artboard. Your only options are to use the unlock all command, which can be a problem if you have other locked objects you want to stay locked, or you can go to the layers panel, and unlock individual objects which takes you away from the artboard and can get really tedious.
