Using the Painting tools
- In this movie, we'll take a look at the painting tools in Illustrator. blob brush tool, pencil tool, and eraser tool. And we'll start with the simplest one. The pencil. Which you can find in the group of tools just below the shape tools, on the left side of the tool bar. The pencil tool allows you to draw freely, just like you would with our regular pencil. Double clicking the pencil tool gives you options, including how smooth or accurate the line should be. I'll go ahead and delete that path. allows you to draw in a free and natural way, and it allows you to apply brush strokes at the same time. In fact, the paintbrush tool always paints with brush strokes. If you just want to draw a simple path, So, I'll take the paintbrush tool and choose a brush. Either from the control panel, or the properties panel. I'll go up to the control panel, and choose ten point rounded. And what I get is a path with a ten point stroke, and rounded ends.
