- All right, now we're going to begin the work of creating the Colorado state flag, starting with the rectangle tool. Very easy tool to use, by the way, you just drag with the tool to create a rectangle. But here's the thing, we are trying to create a specific item exactly correctly. And so, I'll show you how I approach this. I first found this site right here, which includes specifications for all of the state flags. Now I'll sort by name and I'll go ahead and scroll down the list until I come to Colorado. And if I click on it, you can see that we have the Colorado flag and all of its splendor along with all of the specifications including the colors and the aspect ratio and so forth. So notice that as with most state flags, the aspect ratio is two by three, which is worth knowing and that each one of the stripes takes up a third of the height. They're listed as two thirds, that is .66, because we're taking into account…
