- [Instructor] In this movie I'll show you how to both flip and duplicate a path outline using the dedicated reflect tool which may seem like overkill especially when we have these flip icons readily available to us here inside the Properties panel. Well the problem with these icons the way they stand is that they don't allow you to duplicate as you flip. So normally you can duplicate path outlines using the alt or option key. And for example I'll go ahead and grab my black arrow tool up here at the top of the toolbox and I'll press the alt key or the option key on a Mac and notice my cursor changes from a single arrowhead to a double arrowhead. And that tells me that if I were to drag while I have the alt or option key down I will create a duplicate of that line. All right, so I'll go ahead and undo that change.
