Using the Simplify command

- [Instructor] In this movie, I'll introduce you to the simplify command which has been around for a long time inside Illustrator, but it's been recently enhanced. And what it does is it allows you to reduce the number of anchor points inside your artwork. And so I created this particular file inside of an app called Adobe Fresco. It's really great, it runs on mobile devices, including recent iPads, recent Microsoft surfaces, and Wacom MobileStudio Pro. And if you're interested in learning how to use it then you can check out my weekly course Deke's Techniques Episodes 861 through 868. Now the good news is that you have vector brushes, which are analogous to Illustrators blob brush, and you can paint tapering lines using a pressure sensitive stylist. Bad news is that you get a lot of anchor points. So notice if I press Control + A or Command + A on the Mac to select these various shapes we can barely see the segments for…
