Using the Texture Brush tool

- [Narrator] In this movie, we'll see how to control the opacity of textures using painting techniques with the texture brush. Here in our file we have a trophy and it's very flat looking. One way that we could add some depth and dimension is to add shadows and highlight textures, but we need to control exactly where and how much shadow and highlight to add. This is the perfect job for the texture brush. I'll start by selecting the main part of the trophy and in the texture panel I'll locate the highlight texture. I'll apply it and reduce it's opacity to 50% now let's say I wanted to make the highlighting appear to come from the left side, so I need to remove the highlight from the right side. I'll take the texture brush, which is found under the texture tool. The texture brush panel opens and notice the controls in it are almost identical to the controls in the opacity brush panel, so I won't go over each one of…
