Using actions to create isometric objects
- In a previous movie I showed you how to take your 2D art and create an isometric object with it. As easy as that process is I think we can streamline it even further and speed up the build time using Actions in Illustrator. So let me walk you through how I create Actions to automate my isometric illustration. In the previous movie I showed you how to take the Left, Top, and Right plane of an isometric object and how to project it into a Left plane, Right plane, and the Top plane. We're gonna do the exact same thing in this movie, but instead of just always doing it manually it's greatly aided to record an Action of us doing it, that way it becomes a one button push moving forward. Now you've already seen me use the Actions to project objects and how fast that can happen. So I'm gonna show you how to record an Action and then all you need to do is just record the Left, Top, and Right, as shown in the previous movie, and then moving forward you'll have access to those Actions to make…
