Using elements of the Illustrator interface

- [Narrator] The ACA exam contains many questions where you have to demonstrate your ability to use Illustrator's features and controls. So, let's do a quick tour of the user interface, starting at the top of the screen with the menus. And just so fewer commands are grayed out, I'll click to select an object. Now, here on the Mac, the Illustrator menu is where you can access preferences. On Windows, preferences can be accessed through the edit menu. The file menu is where you'll find commands for opening and closing documents, placing and exporting content, as well as packaging and printing documents. It's also where you'll access the document setup dialogue box and the document color mode. Edit is where you'll find commands like cut, copy, and paste, and it's also where you'll find commands for editing colors, and customizing keyboard shortcuts, as well as the color management commands under color settings.
