Using layers

- [Instructor] Layers are one of the primary organizational schemes inside of Illustrator, and they are the way to best separate out your content perhaps if you want to move things around, and for a whole host of other reasons. So if I go to the Layers panel just here in this file, which is a visualization for a spaceship based on the kind of franchises that you see these things going around. But if the British had come up with it, this is what it would be like. Unnecessarily large engines and all of the other stuff, but there you go. So you can see this is separated out. If I just turn off some of these layers, bits of the ship and other things will disappear until we just have the headline here and some other things. Layers can also be locked to prevent accidental interaction with them. So at the moment there are just two layers unlocked. The block at the top here, the headline, and also some of the text on the ship…
