Vertical text alignment
- [Instructor] InDesign has a control to change the vertical positioning of text within a frame. And the great news is, if you want that sort of thing, it's now in Illustrator. And personally, I thought for a long time, this is something illustrator could do with. Now it's an Area Text command or an Area Text operation, so you need to have an area text. Just in case, you don't know the difference. Point text emanates from a point. And that's the default. If you just click with the Type tool, then type, will emanate from that point. You find out really quickly when you try and resize the edge alle InDesign and suddenly all the text gets big and whatever else. Easier way to tell is to look at the frame. And if it has an inflow port, that's a box just on the left hand side underneath the top left transformation handle, and an outflow port, that is a very similar looking box just above the bottom right transformation…
