Vertical type
- [Instructor] To illustrate what we can do with vertical type in Illustrator for iPad, I'd like to recreate this composition. First thing I'd like to do is draw a rectangle over the art board, and then I'm going to make sure that it has a black fill, no stroke. And so that I can't disturb it, I'll lock it. I'll then do a long tap on my type tool. And we see that we have the option for vertical type. I'll tap to make a type container on my art board. So that I can see my type, I'll come and change its color. I'm going to use a gray. I'll double-tap into that to select the type, and I can type my own over it. Knowing that I want this to be in all caps, I'll put my caps lock on. The typeface that I want to use is Filson Soft. I'm going to come to the search field and just type in the first few characters.
