- [Instructor] This chapter is just a simple, walkthrough exercise in two parts that's going to help you familiarize yourself with Illustrator, especially if you've never used it before. All we're going to do in this part is set up a new document and a couple of other things so we're all getting the same experience, and you don't need to worry if you've never used any of the tools before because I'm going to guide you through every single step. So let's get started. We're going to create a new document. We can ignore all the presets that we see here, and we're going to go to the File menu, and then we're going to choose New, the first option that is there. And you'll get this New Document dialog. Now, just so we're all doing the same thing, use the Art & Illustration tab at the top there, and choose any one of these, but you want one ideally where the first number is bigger than the second number because that will make it…
