Welcome to the Home screen
- [Instructor] In this movie, I'll introduce you to the Home screen, which appears when you first launch Illustrator, as well as when you have no document open. Now, a couple of things I want to mention up front. First of all, I'm recording these movies on a PC. Those of you who are Macintosh users, do not worry. Illustrator is 99.9% the same on both platforms and I will tell you any time that it's even slightly different. Secondly, we're seeing Illustrator as it appears when you first launch the program, just so that we're off to a fresh start. All right, now notice a big portion of the top region of the screen is taken up by these so-called suggestions, which are designed to help you get started using the program. For my purposes, they're a little distracting however, and they change all the time, by the way. And so, I'm going to go ahead and click on Hide Suggestions up here in the top right region of the screen. That…
