Welcome

- Visual arts, at its very core, is communication. One style of illustration that can take complex systems and information and simplify it into an easy to digest visual format is isometric illustration. This form of illustration has been around for a very long time and used to communicate more complex ideas. Here's an isometric illustration from 1822 of a grinding engine drawn in isometric projection. And, in this course, we'll cover how to plan out your isometric illustration through thumbnail sketching. We'll use simple methods to help you build your isometric environments. We'll also cover how to approach color and detailing, and I'll share with you various ways you can use this style to facilitate the communication of complex narratives. Isometric illustration is one of the most adaptive forms of digital illustration that exists. And the best part is it's also one of the easiest styles to learn, as well. So, let's get started.
