- [Robin] Learning to draw flats in Illustrator is a must when working in the fashion industry. I'm Robin Schneider and I've been teaching digital fashion skills for over 12 years. Many of my students have gone on to successful careers in the fashion industry. Not only do you need to be proficient at using Illustrator, but know you need to be fast too, especially if you want to have a good work life balance, and that's the focus of this course, efficiency and speed. First and most important, I'll be covering how to set up an efficient workspace. We'll create brush and symbol libraries, one click graphic styles, custom keyboard shortcuts, and my favorite, actions. I'll cover more advanced skills, like using the blend tool and clipping masks, in addition to sharing my favorite shortcut keys. Then we'll bring it all together and draw some more detailed flats, like a denim jacket, jeans, hoodies, and joggers. Finally, I'll share professional practices that will make it easier for design teams to share a consistent style for presentations and line sheets. I'm really excited about this course.
