- [Instructor] Applying a stroke and/or fill to art work in Illustrator is something you do all the time. And often you may find that you mistakenly apply the wrong property to an object and need to change it. So let's take a look at some great shortcuts you can use when working with stroke and fill on objects. Now I'm gonna in and start by selecting this sunburst, this star shape in the background here. You'll notice this object has a fill and then no stroke applied to it. Now one of the things I wanna show you is, that on your keyboard if you simply tap the X key, this allows you to easily change the focus between the fill and the stroke on an object, without ever having to actually go over there and click on those icons. So this is pretty powerful. Now the other thing you can do, and I run into this all the time where I draw an object and it has the stroke applied instead of the fill, or vice versa.
