Working with global swatches

- [[Instructor] In this movie, I'll introduce you to a simple but powerful feature known as the Global Swatches. And a great thing about global swatches is that they're linked to the objects that are colored with them. So if you make a change to a global swatch then all the objects linked to that global swatch will update in kind. So notice over here in the Swatches panel, these squares that have little white wedges in there bottom right corners. And so if I were to double click on this guy right here, bright silver in order to open the Swatch Options dialog box. Notice that the Global checkbox is turned on. And let's say, I go ahead and take this cyan value right here up to a whopping 60%. As soon as I turned on the Preview checkbox, I can see that I've updated all of those objects in the background.
