- [Instructor] When you're working with tables in InDesign, a tricky bit is formatting the strokes. The horizontal and the vertical strokes in between the cells, so I want to show you a few tips for setting those up, especially for working with the cell stroke proxy, and you'll see what I mean in a minute. Now, let's start by explaining that there are a bunch of different places that you can set the stroke width and color. Now, first of all, most people will set the overall border of the table, the outside, from the Table Options dialogue box. But, before I go there, I would recommend that you switch to preview mode, I'm tapping the W, so it's a little easier to see the actual strokes. And, what we're looking at here are one point strokes. This is the default that InDesign applies, and they're kind of ugly and boring, so you usually want to spend some time editing some of the strokes, making them disappear or lighter or a different color.
