- [Instructor] I need to talk about a funny word for a minute. The word is gamut, G-A-M-U-T. It means the range of colors that a device can create. Like your computer screen has a certain gamut. It can show you millions of different colors, but it can't show you every color. Like there are some really rich blue colors or fluorescent colors that it kind of approximate but it's not exactly the same as what you can get with ink on paper and there are some colors that you can see on a screen that you cannot reproduce with ink on paper. Different outputs have different gamuts. It's just a fact of life. So let's say I select this frame here and then go to my swatches panel menu and choose new color swatch. Now I'm going to change the color mode to RGB and I'm going to choose a really bright color, like this red. Now, here's something that you may not have paid attention to before. Down here, underneath this little color swatch, there's a yellow triangle with an exclamation point in it…
