- [Instructor] I want to split this A4 page into thirds, so where should I put my guides? Like I'll pull out a guide from the ruler and I'll drop it here. Now let's drop another one over here. But that's not very precise, right? To position these properly, I would need to do math, like the page height divided by three. But unless you have a calculator, that's going to be hard. Fortunately you do have a calculator, it's called InDesign. That's right. InDesign can do the calculations for you. Like I'll select this guide up here, and then up here in the control panel, I'm going to change the Y field to 297 millimeters. That's the height of an A4 page. If it were a letter page, I'd type 11 inches. Then I'll type slash and then three. Slash three means divide it by three. When I press enter or return, you can see the guide moves to exactly the right spot. Now I'll select this guide down here, go back to my Y field, and I'll…
