- [Instructor] I need to type a special character into this text, so I'll click here in this space with the type tool. And now here's the problem. I don't know how to type the character I want. Fortunately, there are a bunch of special characters hiding down here at the bottom of the Type menu. For example, I could go down to Insert Special Character and then look inside these sub-menus. Unfortunately, the character I want isn't in here, so instead I'm going to go back up to the Type menu and choose Glyphs. The Glyphs panel shows me all the characters in the current font, and you can see that there are hundreds, maybe thousands in this font. So it's hard to find just the character I want. Fortunately, the panel gives me a couple of ways to narrow down my selection. In this case, I want to add a mathematical multiplication sign, so I'm going to go to the Show menu and choose Math Symbols. You can see there are all…
