Add projects to Behance - InDesign Tutorial

- [Instructor] Behance is Adobe's network for sharing your creative work with others. Used in conjunction with Adobe portfolio, it can even be used to create a website showcasing your work. It's been said that Behance is to artists and designers what Facebook is to friends. Behance is a place that you can connect, inspire others, and get hired. You can learn more about Behance from Tony Harmer's course, Learning Behance. Behance makes it easy to upload your work, usually a file of some kind. So the question is, how do you add a Publish Online project? There's not, after all, a specific file for Publish Online that you can upload. Well, the answer here is we use embed code. Let's take a look at how this works. First, let's get embed code for our document. There are a couple of places that we can grab the embed code. One is from the Publish document itself, if we've allowed the embed code to be displayed. I could grab it here, or I could go to my Publish Online dashboard and get the embed code there, and that's what I'm going to do, in this case. Here's the embed code down at the bottom that shows me a preview of the size it's going to be. I can change to various sizes. I think I'll keep it at medium, and to get the code, I simply click in here and copy. Now we're ready to go to Behance and publish our project. At the top of the screen, I'll click on the create a project button, and it loads the project editor for Behance. Down at the bottom, you'll see various things that we can upload and we can include embed code, so we'll click on that and simply paste in the embed code we grabbed from our document. I'll click embed and there it is. Looks pretty good so far. Let's continue building our project. The next thing we need to do is upload a thumbnail image. I have one already prepared. You'll find it in your exercise files, so I'm just going to click and add that, and then we need to give the project a title. Let's call it tour L.A. with an exclamation point. This image looks good. I don't need to crop it or move it or adjust it further, so let's continue. Next, we need to add some metadata to our project, which will make it easier to find, so I'm just going to add a couple of things. Under creative fields, for now, I'll just put graphic design, and for tools used, we'll add InDesign. Okay, looks like we're ready to publish. Publishes pretty quickly. Now we could promote our work on Behance directly from here, but I'm going to do that later. Let's take a look at what we have. Here, we have our Publish Online document just as we expected. It's the complete document. It will, if I click on it, go into full screen mode, and then I can navigate throughout it and interact with the document, as needed. I'll press the escape key, and let's take a look at my portfolio and what it looks like. There it is, along with some other Publish Online projects that I've published previously. From here, anyone can visit this page. They can like or view my document and share it with others. It's a great way to share your Publish Online project. It's so great. Behance makes it easy to add your Publish Online work to your portfolio, and it gives you one more way to share and promote your work to others.
