Add a spot varnish

- [Instructor] There is one last design element I would like to add to our annual report, and it is a spot varnish. So this is a print finish. You will have noticed in the finished version that I have the motif of the plus running throughout the document. So this is my spot varnish, and this is a visual simulation, because I am in Overprint Preview as the view mode, of how it will look. It's actually looking a bit more prominent on screen than I intend it to look in print. It's going to be very subtle. There's no actual ink. It's just a clear varnish in those areas. So here is how we can create the kind of effect. We're going to come to Illustrator, and this is is what I want to use. This is just a scaled up version of the plus that is part of the H+ Sport logo. So in Illustrator I am selecting this element. I'm going to come to Attributes, and then make sure that it is set to Overprint. We don't want this knocking…
